open source Technology
Until a couple of years ago, technology was used to make OCLS more efficient. Technology is used in many capacities from handling our member’s records to claims returns. Right now we are using technology to create new software and exciting programs. We are moving in a good direction with our online classes. Because the classes are live instead of pre-recorded you can not only take classes, but interact with others as the class is going on. Our YouTube and MySpace pages are adding toward our goals as well. We have the capacity and innovative thinking to keep pace, and I see us expanding with more open source technology in the future.

Healthy inside and out
Out of the health websites I looked at, the Wii Fit game will help me the most. It's the only thing I could see myself doing every day. If I wasn't broke I would go out and buy one tomorrow.

So you have a new mp3 player?
I think I'm going to put some music, and books on it. I can get some of my favorite author's books cheaper than if I bought the physical copy in a store, or for free from OCLS catalogue.

To burn or not burn
I'm O.K. with the copyright law's as they stand today, but I sometimes download a song to listen to it before I decide to purchase the album. If I like it I buy the C.D. then make copies. If I dont I erase the music and move on. I can see both sides of the issue.
Yellow Brick Road
I'm almost to the end of this journey, and I have to say it's been fun. Some courses were longer than others, but on the whole I've learned many things from OCLS 2.0.
P.S. until next time.
The pics for our department on Flickr is under 101central special services.
P.S. until next time.
